MAY 2025 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello Newcomers! Many of you know that this past month has been difficult for Steve and me. For those who don’t know, Steve was hospitalized in Europe while we were traveling. He spent ten days in the ICU in Dubrovnik, Croatia recovering from a pulmonary embolism followed by another few days here upon our rocky return (routed through Newark). I am so happy to be home! I am extremely grateful to my Newcomer friends! You have really been there for us. From that moment I frantically called a friend that first night at midnight crying, to all the texts, emails, and calls from friends and fellow board members - we appreciate it! We felt surrounded by love. Thank you! Thank you to my wonderful friend who stocked my fridge - we’d been gone 27 days! Thank you to everyone who brought food on the Meal Train, and thanks for organizing the Meal Train! Delicious, and fun to see folks when they dropped off. Thanks for the rides to the hospital. Thanks to the NCNC Board for getting everything done without me! In closing, it is June! The end of my tenure as your NCNC President. It has been a busy year with the addition of many new members, and a few new clubs. We are looking forward to our last member event this year. In July we will have a new slate of Board members, and more fun planned. Come meet everyone on June 4th at Four Lanterns Winery. Steve plans to be there too! NCNC President 2024-2025 |
